How Telemon Helps in Everyday Clinical Practice

In the treatment of high blood pressure, physicians often gain a clear picture of a patient’s condition only at the next follow-up visit. In the meantime, data is missing and there is uncertainty about whether the treatment is working.

Collaboration Between VšZP and Telemon – Contracted Telemonitoring Services for the Telemon App

We are pleased to announce that telemonitoring services have been contracted with Všeobecná zdravotná poisťovňa as a pilot project running until the end of March.

Patients with selected diagnoses can now use the Telemon app, with VšZP reimbursing the services beyond standard capitation payments.

Indications covered by the insurer:

  • hypertension
  • heart failure
  • type II diabetes mellitus

In addition, VšZP policyholders can take advantage of the Preventívne+ benefit discounts, which offers:

  • a 2-month package for €11.99
  • a 6-month package for €30.99
  • a 12-month package for €49.99

This gives patients access to modern, continuous health monitoring.

Together with VšZP, we are bringing patients and physicians a modern tool that supports active health monitoring and improves quality of life.


Continued Collaboration with Union

The pilot remote patient monitoring project carried out in cooperation with Union poisťovňa Union zdravotná poisťovňa is continuing and delivering clear benefits for both patients and physicians.

Results from the pilot so far show that:

  • patients achieve an improved quality of life and a better understanding of their health status,
  • physicians have “adopted a modern approach to treatment and patient monitoring,”
  • telemonitoring has proven to be an effective tool for managing chronic patients.

Together with Union Health Insurance, we are continuing the pilot project while also considering its expansion to include additional patients.
